President Donald Trump says he won't watch NFL games during the 2020-21 season if players kneel during the national anthem. NBA players have reacted. Count New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard JJ Redick and Boston Celtics All-Star small forward Jayson Tatum as guys who simply don't care.

Colin Kaepernick first knelt during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racial injustices in America. The former NFL quarterback never did it to disrespect the flag or the men and women who fight for our freedom.

The tragic murder of George Floyd in Minnesota has reminded people why Kaepernick knelt in the first place. Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield says he's going to kneel during the 2020-21 NFL campaign.

NBA players can't kneel during the national anthem since the league requires players to stand. However, it will be interesting to see if commissioner Adam Silver and the other league's higher-ups decide to change that rule since the NBA is mostly made up of African Americans–who are quite frankly sick of seeing their fellow brothers and sisters getting killed.

JJ Redick and the Pelicans and Jayson Tatum and the Celtics will be at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The 2019-20 season resumes on July 30 at the Walt Disney Resort.

The Pelicans will be battling it out with the Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings for the final playoff spot in the West.

The Celtics, meanwhile, have already clinched a playoff spot in the East and will most likely meet the Miami Heat in the first round of the 2020 postseason.
