Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Kyrie Irving were among the players who trained with Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant at an invite-only camp in August, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.
Bryant hosted the Mamba Sports Invitational, a multi-day performance and basketball camp for some of the best players in the NBA. Attendees did strength training, on-court training and video work with Kobe Bryant and Lakers skills coach Phil Handy, who was with Leonard and the Toronto Raptors last season.
Other participants were Jamal Murray, Isaiah Thomas, John Collins, Buddy Hield, Aaron Gordon, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Jordan Clarkson.
Kobe Bryant, I'm told, held an invite-only camp for a few days in mid-August at his new facility in Thousand Oaks and had Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Kyrie Irving and many other NBA luminaries in attendance .. including De'Aaron Fox after he parted company with @usabasketball https://t.co/NqA3mf9qH6

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have teamed up on the Los Angeles Clippers. Both stars are from California and eager to lead the Clippers to their first-ever championship.
Leonard and George have had a close relationship with Kobe Bryant for quite some time now.
Kyrie Irving signed with the Brooklyn Nets this summer after playing the past two seasons with the Boston Celtics. Uncle Drew and Bryant talk all the time. Irving even facetimed Kobe from the Cleveland Cavaliers locker room after the Cavs won the 2016 title over the Golden State Warriors. The two have a very special bond.
One can only imagine the high-level basketball which was played at this invite-only camp. Hopefully, some video leaks out.
