It was earlier reported that both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers voted to boycott the rest of the season. However, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN clarifies that these votes are not encompassing, and that nothing has been finalized as of yet with regards to the remainder of the playoffs.

Here is Woj's tweet shedding light on the matter:

The suspension of the three games on Wednesday led to an emergency meeting between the teams. The main topic of discussion was whether or not the teams would opt to play out the rest of the games in the postseason, in the wake of their protests against the recent shooting of Jacob Blake.

It is worth noting that it was only the two Los Angeles teams, the Lakers and Clippers, who voted against playing out the remainder of the season, and that every other team voted for the resumption. Reports also stated that Lakers superstar LeBron James walked out of the meeting, presumably out of frustration for not being able to sway the other teams.

This being the case, it is clear that the season is not yet officially over at this point. The players and the teams do not appear to be seeing eye to eye right now, and more discussions will be held over the next few days. Nonetheless, a unified decision should be made sooner rather than later. Given the socio-political climate, however, it would not be surprising if this seemingly cursed season ends up being cancelled altogether.
