Los Angeles Lakers swingman Danny Green recalled the time when he ruined JJ Redick's senior night, who was, back then, the biggest college superstar in the nation.

Danny Green was on a live stream call with Lakers guard Quinn Cook where they discussed everything basketball. Green recalled his freshman year at North Carolina when they faced Duke featuring Redick, the best college player during that time. According to Green, his team had no business winning that game but they were able to pull the upset over the star-studded Duke crew.

“Big shout out to JJ [Redick], you're my dog but I f***ing hated him. To ruin his senior night was the greatest joy.”

It's a great little story from Green. Almost every basketball fan knows how legendary Redick was in college. The New Orleans Pelicans guard has practically every college award in his trophy case. So it was nice of Green to share how he felt during those days when Redick was tearing up the college scene. While Redick was lighting it up, there were people like Green who had fantasies of taking him down.

Now in the NBA, both Green and Redick have established themselves as great role players. Redick himself continues to knock down 3-pointers like layups. With the Pelicans, he's been the mentor of the likes of Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Zion Williamson.

Green, meanwhile, is chasing for his second title. With the Lakers, Green's role has been to knock down 3-pointers and become a defensive stopper. And so far, he's been doing a great job at both.
