Dallas Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson took a swipe at Phoenix Suns forward Mikal Bridges during a Twitter exchange on Wednesday night. It started when Brunson reacted to a highlight dunk from Bryan Antoine, who recently committed to Villanova, where Brunson and Bridges played college basketball. Brunson said that Antoine looked like a young version of him. Bridges then trolled his former teammate, saying that he has no right to compare Antoine to him.

A Twitter user named Jeffrey Carbone joined the discussion, as he posted a highlight play of Brunson. In the video, Brunson dunked on John Collins during Villanova's game against Wake Forest in 2016.

Brunson then burned Bridges, as he poked fun at his defensive ability. The Mavs guard told Bridges that he was drafted 10th overall pick in 2018 because he was viewed as a defensive stopper. Brunson, who was selected 33rd overall last year, said that Bridges cannot even guard him.

The former Villanova teammates both had decent rookie year last season. Bridges averaged 8.3 points on top of 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 82 games, including 56 starts with the Suns. Brunson, on the other hand, posted 9.3 points to go along with 3.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 73 games for the Mavs.
