One NBA fan is apparently very excited to see Friday night's showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans, as evidenced by an incredible amount of money spent on courtside seats.

The two teams are set to take the floor at Staples Center Friday night, and with the matchup featuring a battle between LeBron James and Anthony Davis, there's no doubt that there will be plenty of eyes on Los Angeles.

And one fan decided that he wanted the best view possible by purchasing four seats courtside.

The amount of money the fan spent? Well, let's just say that it's a bit more than someone would pay for an average NBA game.

From Darren Rovell of Action Network:

$22,521: What someone paid for four front row courtside seats on StubHub, including fees, for Pelicans vs Lakers tonight. Buyer will be sick if Anthony Davis is out.

Of course, as Rovell's tweet mentions, Davis' status has been in question for this one. But it sounds like he'll be available for the Pelicans, so the superstar matchup against LeBron is officially set.

So, perhaps this fan will get the full value from this five-figure purchase for some of the best seats in the house.

The Lakers will try to snap a two-game losing streak after back-to-back losses to the Washington Wizards and Brooklyn Nets, while the Pelicans are on their own two-game slide after losing to the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks.

One team has to win, and hopefully, it'll be a good enough game for this to be a $22,521 well spent.
