Sorry D'Angelo Russell, it seems like Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam has the edge for the Most Improved Player award.

According to the latest odds by BetOnline.ag, Siakam is heavily favored to win the award. He is placed at odds of -1600 to win, with Russell at +400 and Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox at +5000.

D'Lo makes a strong case for the Most Improved Player plum. After all, he made his first All-Star appearance this season after years of criticism about his leadership and maturity. He also led the Nets to their first postseason since 2015 before exiting in the first round against the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, when it comes to overall improvement, Siakam undoubtedly made a bigger leap than Russell. The Cameroonian forward more than doubled his production for the Raptors and established himself as a clear-cut starter.

Siakam put up 16.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists this 2018-19 campaign. The year before, he averaged 7.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists and started in only five games.

Russell previously declared that he will win the Most Improved Player award. Nonetheless, by the looks of it, he is facing strong competition in Siakam who undoubtedly surprised everyone with his rise in the league.

The NBA Awards night is slated on June 24 at Barker Hangar in Los Angeles.
