Kendrick Perkins has never shied away from theorizing as a former NBA player turned talking head. But Perkins' latest theory is quite something—and it includes the former Oklahoma City Thunder core of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden.

Russell Westbrook has demanded a trade from the Houston Rockets, and “Big Perk” wonders if it might be part of something bigger.

Perkins stated he heard from sources both Westbrook and James Harden had not made communication with the Rockets organization after Houston decided to hire former Dallas Mavericks assistant Stephen Silas. “The Brodie” and “The Beard” reportedly wanted Tyronn Lue as the team's head coach, and thus went dark went the team hired Silas.

However, Perkins feels Westbrook's decision to break his silence could be an indication Harden wants out of Houston. Not only does Perkins suggests Harden wants to be traded, but he also stated the former MVP wants to team up with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn.

There has been reporting linking Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers, with new Sixers president Daryl Morey set to chase his former star. However, there has been nothing linking Harden to the Nets.

Moreover, The Athletic's Shams Charania's initial report linking Harden to the Sixers also noted the Rockets' feeling of a trade for Harden being a non-starter.

It seems more likely Westbrook—rather than being concerned about Harden possibly leaving—recognizes he simply was not a fit in Houston.

Regardless, the Rockets have vital decisions to make this offseason. New GM Rafael Stone and owner Tilman Fertitta have both said the team will not blow things up and start over. But there appear to be a number of issues to navigate.
