Patrick Beverley was part of the Eric Bledsoe trade that sent Bledsoe to the Clippers on Monday and Beverley plus Rajon Rondo to the Memphis Grizzlies. Now, Beverley is on the move less than 24 hours later, this time being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Beverley brings that bulldog mentality to the court, something Timberwolves president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas is very familiar with. When Beverley was on the Houston Rockets a few years back, Rosas was part of that Houston front office. Now, they reunite in Minnesota.

Beverley started 34 games for the Clippers last season, averaging 7.5 points per contest while shooting 39% from three-point range. But, he's much more known for his defense and what he brings to the table on that end of the court. There was a thought that he would be a good fit for the Grizzlies to help mentor Ja Morant in a way, but Memphis clearly had other ideas.

For the Grizzlies, they get a young prospect in Jarrett Culver who just hasn't panned out yet in his career but could use the change of scenery. Culver was the No. 6 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft but averaged just 5.3 points in 34 games played for the Wolves a season ago.

It's been a wild offseason for Patrick Beverley or even in a more condensed way, an unpredictable last 24 hours. The Grizzlies quickly moved on from the feisty guard and now the Timberwolves will install him into their rotation for next year.
