Taking after teammate C.J. McCollum, Portland Trail Blazers forward Evan Turner put on his analyst glasses and took on breaking down the Cleveland Cavaliers-Boston Celtics trade on Tuesday, adding to the never-ending offseason hype of new faces in new places.
Following a 2016-17 season that saw the best of Isaiah Thomas and his offensive firepower, even during the playoffs after playing with a heavy heart, Turner was sure to acknowledge just how much the 5-foot-9 dynamo did for his old organization.
Damn dog, my guy I.T. Deserve better. I understand it's a business but that dude did a lot of the organization. Only going to get better!

The devil is in the details, and the Cavs walked away with a versatile three-and-D guy that gets them closer to where they want to be at season's end with the addition of Jae Crowder. Turner once again points out just how important losing Crowder will be to the Celtics' mold.
Great deal by Cleveland…they get Jae crowder too?? That's an underrated move!

You all don't have crowder anymore either, that's a pretty big deal https://t.co/lWoxzTf7R2

Cavs came out big. IT, Crowder and a top 5 pick! https://t.co/SWVWIA44T5

Crowder and Bradley gone..2 elite defenders in a conference where you have to win with defense https://t.co/libLSIE032

Ultimately, fans dished on Kyrie Irving ditching his signature No. 2 jersey and going for No. 11 in Celtics green, the same number that Turner wore during his stint in Boston.

That number gets passed around like a 40 lol it's a new era out there https://t.co/NdzJ4MWyqw

Both of these teams will boast a different look and likely a different pace of play after swapping stars at the point guard position, giving a fresh paint job to a likely meeting in the Eastern Conference Finals.
