The Boston Celtics will be minus guard Marcus Smart and power forward Al Horford for Wednesday night's road game against the L.A. Clippers. According to Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, Smart is nursing a hand injury he sustained back at the team's hotel in Los Angeles. Apart from the fact that Smart's hand required stitches, there are currently no available details with regards to what exactly led to the former Oklahoma State Cowboy's injury.
Marcus Smart is also OUT tonight after suffering a hand laceration today at the team hotel. He received stitches and the team will know more later. #Celtics #Clippers

Al Horford, on the other hand, has been ruled out because of a possible concussion, per Chris Mannix of Yahoo. The Celtics big man took a shot at his head during Tuesday's 108-107 loss at Staples Center against the Los Angeles Lakers. Horford played 32 minutes against the Lakers and contributed across the board, scoring 13 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, dishing out six assists, and turning away two shots, while also making three three-pointers.
Al Horford out tonight vs. the Clippers. Brad Stevens says he does not have a concussion, but team wants to "observe him" for a couple of days.

Without Horford, Marcus Morris, Aron Baynes, and Daniel Thies are all expected to see bumps in their minutes. Morris is likely going to take Horford's spot in the starting unit, while Guerschon Yabusele will be the first power forward off the bench for the team. Horford is averaging 13.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season. The soonest he could make a return to action is on Saturday against the Golden State Warriors in Oakland.
As for Marcus Smart, his absence means that Jaylen Brown is in for an increased workload along with Terry Rozier and Shane Larkin. Smar, who scored 22 points and made eight assists in the Lakers game, is putting up 10.1 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per contest thus far this season.
