Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens believes that Kemba Walker's work ethic and love of the game is what makes him special.
Brad Stevens on what makes Kemba Walker special: "His work ethic and his love of basketball."

Stevens gave a specific example of how Walker displayed this in their recent game, a dominant 110-88 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Walker essentially closed out the game for the team. It is something that is expected from him as the team's star guard. And he certainly accomplished that goal.
Brad Stevens highlighted how he wants the team to be more like Kemba Walker who despite his night seemingly over with the score lopsided, stepped back on the court when it got closer and drained a trio of 3s that put the game away. "Special is not for everybody," Stevens said.

Walker, a three-time All-Star, is finally getting the recognition he deserves. He spent his first eight years in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets. Although he put up great numbers there, the team just wasn't too good to win. As such, Walker was merely seen as a good player.
Now, Walker is embarking on a new chapter with the Celtics. So far, the partnership has been working extremely well. Boston currently sports a 17-5 record for second place in the East.
Walker is undoubtedly that one piece who is responsible for the Celtics' improvement. Gone are the days when the Beantown team, despite being considered one of the most loaded and talented teams in the league, fail to close out games. Now, the Stevens-led squad is maximizing their potential.
When games get too close for comfort, Walker is there to close it out.
