Kyrie Irving won't play for the Boston Celtics on Wednesday when the C's take on the Sacramento Kings, which means Terry Rozier will start for the team at the point guard spot.
The Celtics are fortunate to have such a high-level backup point guard in Rozier and head coach Brad Stevens says the rugged defender knows how to run the team and get himself going.
"Terry is going to be Terry, regardless. He knows what he needs to do to play well." – #Celtics Brad Stevens on Terry Rozier.

In 10 starts this season, Terry Rozier is averaging 13.3 points and 5.8 assists. Boston is on the second night of a back-to-back and the Kings play at a fast pace, so it's going to be a tough game for the Celtics to win.

Overall on the season, Rozier is putting up 8.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists. The 24-year-old is shooting 37.7 percent from the field, 34.4 percent from beyond the arc and 80.2 percent from the free-throw line. Rozier's numbers are down from last season, but that's because Irving and small forward Gordon Hayward are back in the lineup.
The Celtics are 39-26 on the season after their big win on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors. Boston is hoping the win against the Warriors will spark a winning streak.
Let's see if Terry Rozier can be the catalyst on Wednesday in Sacramento.
