Gordon Hayward showed his appreciation to Boston Celtics fans for sticking with him and the team after what transpired last season.
Hayward struggled in his return from that gruesome ankle injury he suffered in 2017-18, while the Celtics underwhelmed as a group. Boston lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2019 playoffs. This came after many experts picked the Beantown team to win the Eastern Conference.
In his latest blog post, Hayward tells Celtics fans he's been working very hard this summer and is looking forward to the upcoming season.

Last season, Gordon Hayward averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 46.6 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 83.4 percent from the free-throw line.
The Celtics are eager to see which version of Hayward they’re going to get in 2019-20. Hayward will be two years removed from the injury this upcoming season, so he should be more explosive and comfortable on the court.
