Is Gordon Hayward a super healer?

Probably not.

But an Instagram story update from his wife, Robyn, hinted at just how well the Boston Celtics star is doing in this recovery from a horrific leg injury at the start of the season.

Hayward is seen spending time with this daughter at the computer, seemingly playing a game. An eagle-eyed fan zoomed in on the bottom of the photo and saw that *gasp* Hayward has no walking boot.

It's been about seven weeks since Hayward had surgery on the injury that has ruled him out for the rest of the season. Since then, he's been seen shooting halfcourt shots from a chair — and making them.

Because there was no ligament damage in Hayward's injury, it's possible that he has a speedier-than-expected recovery and tries to make a return late in the season. The only time that would make sense is at or near the NBA playoffs.

But at the same time, it might be better for the Celtics to wait as long as possible to bring Hayward back. Boston sits atop the Eastern Conference as the best record in the NBA, and they've done it — miraculously — without Hayward.

So while seeing progress from him is definitely a great sign for the team and makes Celtics fans practically foam at the mouth, Hayward's recovery should run its natural course to ensure that when he does come back, he'll be just as effective as he was before the injury.
