The Boston Celtics were able to take Games 1 and 2 of their Eastern Conference second round series against the Philadelphia 76ers, both both coming at home. The Celtics did not have second-year forward Jaylen Brown in Game 1, but did have him available for Game 2.

Brown suffered the hamstring strain in Game 7 of the Celtics' first round series against the Milwaukee Bucks last Saturday. Although the training staff listed him as available to return to that game, hamstring strains are incredibly tough and painful to play through. He did not end up returning, playing only 16 minutes and scoring two points in Boston's 112-96 victory.

He was ruled out for Game 1 against the 76ers on Monday night, which the Celtics were still able to win, and returned to play in Game 2 on Thursday night, another Celtics victory. He finished that game playing 25 minutes, chipping in 13 minutes, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal on 5-12 shooting and 2-5 from beyond the arc.

For Saturday's Game 3 in Philadelphia, Brown will come off the bench once again to help the Celtics' second unit and will be limited to about the same restrictions as the previous game.

Brown and the Celtics have surprised many, to say the least, with their 2-0 lead over the heavily favored Sixers. Boston won without Brown in an overall team effort in Game 1 and then overcame a 22-point first-half deficit in Game 2 to win that as well.

Game 3 is Saturday afternoon at 5PM EST.
