Jaylen Brown is doing everything he can to make a difference. The Boston Celtics swingman has been a huge leader on and off the court and has made strides in being one of the most impactful personalities in the league. All at the young age of 23.

Jaylen Brown continues to use his voice to make sure he adds to the commentary of different social issues especially racial equality.

“Right now, a lot of people see it in the headlines or there's people talking about it so they feel like it's a trend. I want it to remain not just a moment, but a movement,” Jaylen Brown said. “I'm going to do everything I can while I'm here to pull the next person up. Or to make people aware that there was not enough opportunity for people to be able to get to a level of success in this country. Especially people that look like me.”

 

For all his efforts, Jaylen Brown has been one of the few players who were given the NBA Cares Community Assist Award this week. Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul, Milwaukee Bucks' George Hill, Dwight Powell of the Dallas Mavericks and Harrison Barnes of the Sacramento Kings were all recognized alongside Brown by the NBA Cares Community and each player will be receiving $10,000 to be put towards a charity of their choosing.

Jaylen Brown, who had a breakout year this season, has been adamant in using his voice to add in a positive light and made it a point that the NBA restart in the Disney Bubble wasn't going to distract the world from everything going on amid the issues regarding the deaths of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, to name a few.
