Jayson Tatum has a message for the other 29 NBA teams after leading the Boston Celtics to victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in opening night.

Tatum banked the game-winner to give the Celtics the 122-121 win on Wednesday, and the 22-year-old star did it in style while facing reigning Defensive Player of the Year Giannis Antetokounmpo. With just 8.9 second left on the clock and Giannis guarding him, Tatum created some space with a side-step before launching his long-distance bomb the shattered the hearts of Milwaukee fans.

As if his heroics is not enough to show the whole NBA that they mean business this 2020-21 season, Tatum reiterated in his postgame presser that the Celtics are not going to back down and get scared of their opponents.

It couldn't have been a better start for the Celtics, especially with starting point guard Kemba Walker out due to some knee issues.

Jayson Tatum finished the game with 30 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. Although he was 12-of-28 from the field (6-of-13 from deep), his performance was more than enough to repel the Bucks.

Jaylen Brown also stepped up big time for the Beantown team, scoring a team-high 33 points on top of five boards, four dimes, two steals and one rejection.

Boston has reached the Eastern Conference Finals in three of the last four seasons, but the franchise always fall short in the end. In fact, in 2019-20, they lost to the Miami Heat in six games despite big expectations that they were on their way to their first Finals since 2010.

As can be surmised in Tatum's latest statement, they are more than ready to get the job done this time around.
