Jayson Tatum looked like his shoulder was bothering him early in Game 5 against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. The Boston Celtics superstar was still able to play through the pain and it resulted in a huge win for Boston as they now look to book their spot in the NBA Finals.
After the Celtics' 93-80 victory, Tatum spoke out about his worrisome shoulder injury. The Boston All-Star admitted that it was indeed a problematic issue for him early on:
“It was bothering me but I got Nick, my trainer, taking care of me and we just figure it out,” Tatum said via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston on Twitter.

The good news here is that Tatum was able to play through the injury and it didn't seem like it hindered him significantly in the win. The Celtics star finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists as they took down Jimmy Butler and the Heat in Game 5.
Hopefully, this shoulder injury does not become a problem for Tatum moving forward. The Celtics are now just a win away from the Finals and it goes without saying that they will need their superstar at full strength the rest of the way.
