The Boston Celtics have been able to form a championship contending team with a mixture of young, promising players and hardworking veterans. Although they have struggled to play together for most of the season, their victories against the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings is an indication that they can be one of the best teams in the league when they play as a cohesive unit. However, the long-term success of the Celtics relies on their young players, and according to All-Star guard Kyrie Irving, the team has two of the best up and comers in the NBA right now – Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Both Tatum and Brown showed what they can do when given the opportunity. Last season, they were instrumental in the Celtics' postseason quest that ended in the Eastern Conference Finals, where they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in seven games.

Irving missed the playoffs last season, and Tatum became the primary option on offense. Meanwhile, the Celtics relied on Brown's defense, and he was able to shut down some of the opposing teams' best players.

However, the return of Irving and Gordon Hayward this season caused a logjam in the guard and forward positions for the Celtics, which led to Tatum and Brown's inconsistent production on the floor.

Still, the Celtics believe that both youngsters will be key to their success in the playoffs, and whether or not they remain in Boston next season, Tatum and Brown will most likely become two of the most exciting players in the league for years to come.
