With Kyrie Irving expected to hit free agency next summer, many people are asking whether he will stay with the Boston Celtics or change addresses in the 2019-20 NBA Season. Most recently, though, Irving gave a resounding hint with his answer, per ESPN's Rachel Nichols.
“Even if I ever try to think about that thought of going elsewhere, it would be like ‘what are you thinking? We're pretty f-ing good here.”
With Gordon Hayward and himself coming back, the re-signing of Marcus Smart. and with the rest of the team that fell just a game away from the NBA Finals this year remaining intact, the franchise with the most championships is still the heavy favorite in winning the Eastern Conference this year.

With their young guns, gaining a lot of experience in the playoffs, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Terry Rozier are sure to again work their hearts out and play more like veterans. Anchored by Al Horford and his supporting veteran big men still intact in Marcus Morris, Aron Baynes and Greg Monroe manning the inside, they are the team to beat in the East.
A year after he was traded to the Celtics, many rumors still are connected to Irving, especially with his player option next summer. The New York Knicks have been on the menu, as well as the San Antonio Spurs just as they were on his preferred destinations. But whatever rumors there might be, as long as Boston reaches its goal which is the NBA Finals and win it all, Kyrie Irving will be bound to stay in Beantown.
