The Boston Celtics earned an impressive and much needed win against the Golden State Warriors, blowing out the two-time defending champions 125-98 at the Oracle Arena. All-Star guard Kyrie Irving was impressed with how the Celtics held their ground against the Dubs, saying they finally played as a cohesive unit.

“We put a lot of emphasis on being connected, being together. And we just haven’t been doing it. We’ve been doing a lot of talking. Honestly, it was finally about time we put some action to it.”

Irving finished with 19 points, 11 assists and five rebounds for the Celtics, who has been struggling as of late. This is only their second win since the All-Star break, but it was rather a big one.

The Celtics also had a great showing when they faced the Dubs back in January, and although they have lost that game 115-111, it is now obvious that they can compete with the best teams in the league as long as they're able to play together.

Boston has been heavily criticized for their recent performance, and eventhough they have repeatedly stated that they know what to do to win games, they haven't been able to prove it. Instead, their season has been a roller coaster ride filled with more downs than ups.

Now's the time for them to remind the rest of the league that they are indeed, a championship caliber team.
