Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens says star point guard Kyrie Irving will return to the lineup soon, as his scratched eyes are feeling better.
Kyrie Irving got scratched in both of his eyes last weekend against the San Antonio Spurs on the road and needed antibiotics.

Irving didn't play on Wednesday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves and is also ruled out Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks. Terry Rozier will once again start in Irving's place.
Article Continues BelowThe 26-year-old All-Star has played in 34 games this season for the Celtics. He is averaging 23.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.6 assists per contest while shooting 48.8 percent from the field, 40.8 percent from beyond the arc and 85.3 percent from the free-throw line.
The Celtics enter Friday with a record of 22-15. They are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Boston has the luxury of being able to rest Irving because they have Rozier on the roster. Rozier is a starting-caliber point guard in the NBA and started for the team during the 2018 playoffs.
The next opportunity for Irving to play will be on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets. Stevens will update Irving's status in the days leading up to Monday's contest at home versus Brooklyn.
