Everyone knows Boston Celtics guard Terry Rozier wants to be a starting point guard in the NBA. He's said publicly many times he doesn't believe he's a backup point guard in the NBA. But with Kyrie Irving back in the fold this season, Rozier is back in the backup role and it's been an adjustment for him.

However, one thing Rozier wants to make clear is that he and Irving don't have any beef despite what people think. In fact, the rugged defender says Irving is like a big brother to him.

“I’ve been saying it since I joined and played with Kyrie that he’s like a big brother and that I want everything that he got,” Rozier said, via Dakota Randall of NESN. “It’s never hating on him or nothing like that, but it’s just I want everything you got. So, I’m going to challenge him every day and he’s going to challenge me.”

Terry Rozier started for the Celtics last season during the postseason after Kyrie Irving got hurt, and he played well. In 19 games during the Celtics’ 2018 postseason run, Rozier averaged 16.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists while shooting 40.6 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Rozier becomes a restricted free agent this summer. Irving recently revealed he and Rozier always go at each other during practices and that there's competition between them. It will be interesting to see what happens with Rozier in the offseason. Boston might want to keep him just in case Kyrie leaves town in free agency.
