The Golden State Warriors will be facing the Boston Celtics for the second time this season, and judging by their first meeting in January, their second collision is expected to have a playoff-like atmosphere.
However, the Celtics haven't been the same since that matchup. As of this moment, they have lost seven of their last 10 games and are 1-5 following the All-Star break. There are a lot of questions surrounding Boston heading into the playoffs.
Still, Warriors' Kevin Durant believes the Celtics will be fine once the postseason begins.
“They're right up there at the top. They've been losing a couple games but they've got the top talent, some of the top talent on that team, so they'll be fine once the playoffs start.”
Durant had 33 points and nine rebounds during the Dubs' 115-111 win against Boston back in January 27. The game was so good, people started to believe that it was this year's Finals preview.
But while the Warriors kept winning, the Celtics' losses kept piling up.

But Durant does make sense. Once the playoffs begin, everything is back to square one for all the teams that will meet in the knockout phase. Regular-season records won't matter, as series wins will be the ones that will count.
However, teams will still need to get some type of positive momentum going before the postseason, and that's what the Celtics are trying to do.
A win against Golden State would surely give them that.
