Brooklyn Nets forward Jared Dudley is reportedly interested in joining the Boston Celtics as a free agent this upcoming offseason, according to Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe.
Dudley played for Boston College and has enjoyed a sound bounce-back year for the Nets as a veteran leader and a 3-point weapon. The veteran forward will turn 34 in July and has now started in 25 of the 59 games he played for the Nets this season after being traded by the Phoenix Suns this past summer.
Dudley won't be a starting cog in the Celtics roster, but he still shot a respectable 35.1% from the 3-point line, his worst clip since his rookie season.

The 33-year-old just finished a three-year, $30 million deal he signed in 2016 with the Suns, earning $9 million during 2018-19, which might make him open to a mid-level deal.
However, there is plenty more the Celtics will need to figure out before making Dudley an offer, like re-signing Kyrie Irving and making a potential deal for Anthony Davis.
If the trade for Davis is indeed successful, there might not be much of a need for Dudley, as Boston will have to give up plenty of its young pieces to reel in the prized big man.
