There has been a lot of talk about Kyrie Irving's future with the Boston Celtics. Irving maintains that the Celtics are his top choice, and while Boston feels confident in its ability to sign the All-Star guard, some still feel there is a chance he leaves this summer.

However, there may be a way for the C's to essentially guarantee Irving re-signing: by trading for Anthony Davis.

The Lakers reportedly made a Godfather offer to the Pelicans for Davis this past week, offering Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Ivica Zubac, Josh Hart, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and multiple draft picks.

But New Orleans rebuffed Los Angeles, with reports stating that the Pelicans favor a potential Celtics package that could be built around young star Jayson Tatum this offseason.
