There is nothing like a good Kevin Garnett story and when it's told by Kendrick Perkins you pretty much have to sit down and listen to it. Perk told an epic story about Garnett defeating Glen Davis in an arm-wrestling contest during their years with the Boston Celtics.

The lucky fans who were traveling with the Celtics will surely never forget this moment. After all, how could anyone get the image of a shirtless Garnett screaming at the top of his lungs on an airplane out of their head?

The 2008 Celtics team won the NBA championship over the Los Angeles Lakers. Everyone from that Boston team is still tight with each other except for Ray Allen, who is now a villain after signing with the rival Miami Heat.

The Celtics will retire Garnett's No. 5 jersey next season. Doc Rivers is hoping Allen will come to the ceremony so the beef can get squashed. However, it's highly doubtful that it will occur.

Perkins and Garnett were like brothers when they were on the Celtics. Garnett was supposedly in tears when Boston traded Perkins to the Oklahoma City Thunder in February of 2011.

Garnett was inducted into the Hall of Fame along with Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant this year. He averaged 17.8 points and 10.0 rebounds during his NBA career. KG's best statistical seasons were with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Garnett won the 2004 MVP award with Minnesota.

However, that 2008 championship with the Celtics is the proudest moment of Garnett's legendary career. He was able to win a ring with some of his closest friends by his side.
