The Boston Celtics are officially set to take on the Dallas Mavericks in the 2024 NBA Finals, and one of their best players, Derrick White, has only seen his star brighten during this postseason run. White has long been one of the best defensive players in the league, but his offensive games has blossomed as well since joining the Celtics. Now, White is one of the best players on arguably the best team in the NBA.

White wasn't always at the top of the basketball world, though, and his wife has been there for him since the beginning. The guard was barely recruited coming out of high school, and he didn't receive a scholarship offer from any Division 1 school. White was barely 6-foot tall by the time he graduated high school, and the only school that gave him a chance to play college basketball was Colorado-Colorado Springs, a Division 2 school.

There, White's game started to see major development, and he even grew four inches. He immediately became a star on the team, and he started every game during all three seasons he played for the team before transferring to the University of Colorado.

UCCS is also the place where White met Hannah Schneider. Not a lot is known about Schneider, but her Linkedin profile states that she went to Chaparral High School in Parker, Colorado. White is also from Parker, but he went to Legend High School, so it is possible the two knew each other before college. Schneider previously worked at an animal hospital, so she may have an interest in animals.

Derrick White and Hannah Schneider's relationship

White and Schneider presumably met in college, and it seems they both lived in Boulder once White transferred to play his final season with the Buffaloes. The two got engaged in 2020 before getting married in 2021.

A number of White's former Spurs teammates came to his wedding, including Lonnie Walker IV, Jakob Poeltl, Drew Eubanks, and Keldon Johnson. The couple now have two sons together. Their first son is named Hendrix James, and he is named after famous guitarist Jimi Hendrix. Their second son is named Daxton.

Schneider hasn't updated her Linkedin since her college days, so it assumed she has dedicated her time to being a mother and to supporting her husband during his NBA journey. The NBA forces its players to be on the road a lot, so Schneider is surely busy taking care of her two sons.
