Boston Celtics fans may want to get used to seeing the All-Star point guardIsaiah Thomas a little gummy for a while.
After losing a front tooth in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Washington Wizards, Thomas had to go through extensive dental work. However, the improved condition of his mouth did not last long as he took a bad fall in their next outing, and in Game 3, had to spend additional minutes in the locker after halftime to have some more work done on it.
During the postgame press conference following their blowout loss on Thursday night, Thomas shared, via Keely Diven of CSN Mid-Atlantic, what his plans are to rid him of any more unwanted distractions.

“They're temporary, so if they get hit, they might crack, they might come out. So I can't get any permanent teeth until the season is over.”
“I'm staying out of the dentist. You might see me with no teeth.”
With how physical their series has been against the Wizards, it may not be a totally bad idea for him to postpone his dental appointments for now. In the first three games, a total of eight technical fouls have already been called, as well as an ejection and two disqualifications in Game 3 alone.
As long as it doesn't affect his game, one thing that's certain is the team and their fans will not mind seeing him without his front tooth for now, if it means playing at a high level and advancing to the next round of the playoffs.
