The Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics went back and forth in Game 3 of their second round series on Saturday afternoon with the series essentially on the line. With Boston up 2-0, a loss for the Sixers would mean the Sixers odds of winning the series plummet significantly.
The Sixers called timeout down two points with about three seconds left and possession of the ball. Brett Brown drew up a terrific play for his young Philly team and they ran it to perfection. Backup guard Marco Belinelli was able to force overtime on a huge buzzer-beating baseline fadeaway. Belinelli tried whatever he could to get behind the three-point line, but had both feet on the line for the shot, meaning the game was tied and headed to overtime instead of giving Philadelphia the win.
Both teams had to wait about 10 minutes as the confetti guy in the Sixers arena pushed the button and released thousands of the colored papers down on the fans and on the court. It took a few minutes to clean up as some pieces fell far slower than others, but eventually, the arena crew got it to stop.

The Sixers, however, just lost the game in overtime, 101-98. The Celtics have a 3-0 lead, and as we know, no team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit to win a series in NBA playoff history.
