Brooklyn Nets fans expect a lot of epic connections between James Harden and Blake Griffin since the high-flying forward joined the team. While there haven't been many, Harden and Griffin shared a good preview of what's to come once their chemistry matures.

Harden and Griffin had a full-court connection against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. Harden is regarded as one of the best passers in the NBA, so it's not a surprise that he sees the play develop before anyone else. Griffin, for his part, is used to playing with elite passers. So he knows that it's his job to be open and finish the play.

Nets fans would've loved to see Griffin slam it home. Or perhaps maybe turned it into an alley-oop finish? But two points is two points. Griffin still needs to play a couple more games to fully unleash his athleticism.

In his first two games with the Nets, the six-time All-Star has played just under 20 minutes, as coach Steve Nash doesn't want to shock Griffin's body after missing some time due to various injuries. He finished with eight points, five rebounds, and two steals against the Trail Blazers.

So as Blake Griffin gets more burn time, expect him to connect with James Harden more often than not. Maybe we'll even see him throw down some vicious spikes just like the old times.
