After being traded from the Houston Rockets to the Brooklyn Nets, James Harden has been on a tear, as usual. So far this season he's averaging 25.2 points, 11 assists, and 7.7 rebounds. He's also introducing a new shoe with Adidas, which will allow Harden to give back to the Brooklyn community.

Due to COVID-19, the country shut down as a way to prevent the spread of the virus. As that may have stopped the spread, it ultimately led to the closure of some small businesses. For this reason, it seems James Harden is looking to help those affected by the coronavirus and help some minority-owned businesses get back on their feet.

Beginning this week with the launch of his new white and black Harden Vol. 5 sneaker, Harden and Adidas are partnering with more than 25 local minority-owned businesses, displaying sneaker signage in storefronts and infusing cash and awareness into the local companies.

This is just a fantastic idea to help generate revenue for small businesses around the Brooklyn area. Having a superstar athlete like the Nets' guard stand outside one's store, signing autographs, mingling with the public, and promoting your business, is a great way to ensure long-time success.
