The Nets forward explained how he thought fans used to attack him on Twitter, but Durant now understands that a lot of them are just looking for simple interaction with one of their favorite players. Barkley meanwhile, is not a supporter of social media at all and has never even ventured down that road.

Indeed, KD is very active when it comes to engaging with fans. Twitter in particular is such a huge part of the NBA now because of all the videos, memes, and photos that make their way around the app. A lot of the players love tweeting out, too.

Durant never lets that stuff affect him, though. He's off to a tremendous start this season for the 7-4 Nets, averaging 29.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per night while shooting 38% from downtown. He's currently leading the Association in scoring. James Harden will need to keep stepping up alongside KD as well if Brooklyn is going to have any shot of winning a title in 2022 with Kyrie Irving's status remaining very unclear due to his vaccination status.
