Previous reports claimed that Kevin Durant will not be with the Brooklyn Nets when they visit the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco on Thursday. However, it appears like the two-time Finals MVP will be in town for the game, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Of course, Durant isn't going to play as he is already set to sit out the entire 2019-20 campaign. Still, the former league MVP's presence in the newly christened Chase Center will certainly create a buzz in the building – that is if fans are still allowed to enter the premises, as alluded to by Slater.
KD left the Warriors last summer and signed a four-year maximum contract with the Nets to play with his buddy Kyrie Irving. Since then, Durant has spoken about his three years with the Dubs.
Article Continues BelowThe injured Nets superstar admitted that there were times when he felt he didn't fully belong in Golden State. Likewise, Durant also revealed how his infamous in-game spat with Draymond Green last season pretty much played a huge role in his decision.
On the flip side, Durant also expressed his appreciation for the special run that they had on the league in those three dominant years. The former 2nd overall pick turned into a legitimate two-way superstar by being part of the Warriors system, while also becoming the most efficient version of himself playing next to Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. In 48 postseason games with the Warriors, Durant turned in playoff averages of 29.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, while shooting 51.4 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from three.
Now with Brooklyn, Durant will attempt to carve out an equally successful chapter as he had with the Warriors.
