The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly in the market for a “physical center,” according to team insider Gery Woelfel.

“They’re looking for a physical center,’’ said a front office executive. “They have (John) Henson and they got (Thon) Maker, but they don’t have that physical big.’’

Milwaukee has been sorely missing a strong interior presence ever since they traded Greg Monroe away to the Phoenix Suns in the Eric Bledsoe deal earlier in the year. Neither Henson nor Maker has proven to be an adequate option at center due to their lack of physicality.

Meanwhile, their already thin frontline has been reduced even further with the absence of Mirza Teletovic, who’s dealing with blood clots in his lungs.

Rebounding has been one of the team's big weaknesses over the last few years, and Monroe's departure has only exacerbated that issue even further. The Bucks are averaging just 38.6 rebounds per game, which is dead last in the NBA.

The Bucks had been strongly linked with L.A. Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, the NBA's current leading rebounder, in the recent past. Jordan signed with agent Jeff Schwartz, who has close ties with Bucks head coach Jason Kidd. However, there hasn’t been any recent development of a potential move.
