The Boston Celtics are coming off an upset 108-85 road loss at the hands of the cellar-dwelling Chicago Bulls on Monday, and they aim to bounce back from that setback Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets at home, albeit without Al Horford and probably Kyrie Irving.

This is according to Keith Smith of Real GM, who also reported that Marcus Morris will also be on the sidelined for another contest.

Horford played 31 minutes against the Bulls, chipping in 15 points, four rebounds, and five assists in the loss, and while he’s not nursing any injuries, the Celtics elected to sit him down for at least a game for rest purposes. Irving, on the other hand, was kept out of the Bulls game with a quad issue. It’s reportedly not a serious injury, however, and that there are high odds for Irving to take the court against Denver. If Irving will be held out again, the Celtics will see more of Terry Rozier and Shane Larkin on the floor as the main assistants for Marcus Smart.

As for Morris, he continues to deal with a nagging left knee injury, that has caused him to miss three of the Celtics last five games.

With Horford and Morris out, the Celtics will be left with a thin frontcourt that’s going to be temporarily bannered by Daniel Theis and Aron Baynes.
