With multiple teams making moves recently, buying out some players and signing free agents, the Boston Celtics may not follow suit and just stand pat instead. That was confirmed by Brad Stevens during a Q&A with reporters, letting everyone know that he does not expect the team to make any additions anymore this season.
The fifth-year head coach admitted that there have been some discussions with their front office lately, but that they will likely opt to go with their current roster through the remainder of the season. He then said that he is not even familiar with the current free agents, which goes to show that the C’s are indeed not looking at a player they may bring in to their fold.

The team’s decision does make sense as they have had a lot of success so far this year. They are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference with a 43-19 win-loss slate, and are looking geared to be one of the top seeds once the playoffs start. With Kyrie Irving and Al Horford leading the charge, they have two All-Stars who are more than capable to help them win games and contend for a championship.
With Marcus Smart returning from a hand injury,it gives the C's a full roster during the stretch run. If the team can remain healthy, especially in the postseason, they will definitely be a tough team to beat and could even dominate the East to advance to the NBA Finals and make a run for the title.
