It has been a few games since veteran forward Marcus Morris has rejoined the Boston Celtics after missing several weeks due to soreness in his right knee.
The 28-year-old has progressively seen his workload increase with each passing game, and he is expected to take another step toward increased minutes with his start on Thursday night against the defending champion Golden State Warriors.
#Celtics coach Brad Stevens indicated Marcus Morris will start on Kevin Durant: Durant is a hard guard. Don't want to jinx anybody predicting success against him.

The assignment of guarding Kevin Durant will be a tough draw for Morris in just his seventh game back from injury. Durant is one of the top players in the league and is putting together another highly-efficient season currently averaging 24.8 points on 53.5 percent shooting from the field and a career-high 44.3 percent from beyond the arc.
It will also prove to be a difficult challenge offensively for Marcus Morris as Durant is currently experiencing the best defensive campaign of his career averaging a career-high 2.2 blocks, which is second highest in the league. This has the potential to be a tough test for the Celtics' seventh-year forward against the reigning NBA Finals MVP.
Morris is currently averaging 13.7 points on a career-high 46.8 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc with 5.7 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per contest in six games played with four starts. He is also coming off his best performance this season putting up a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds against the Brooklyn Nets.
