L.A. Clippers All-Star forward Blake Griffin has continued to progressive steps forward in his recovery from a sprained MCL that has kept him out of the lineup for the last 14 games.
After expecting to be out for nearly two months, Griffin has taken another significant step forward with the Clippers deciding on Wednesday morning to send him to their G-Leauge affiliate, AC Clippers, according to Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.

This comes just a day after head coach Doc Rivers voiced much optimism that Griffin could possibly make his return to the court this month that could be as soon as Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers or Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets.
Article Continues BelowThe 28-year-old has recovered quite quickly from his leg injury being weeks ahead of the expected timetable as he's only a month removed from when it occurred. Griffin was able to go through individual drills at the practice facility that included throwing down dunks.
The fact that he's practicing with the AC Clippers is a positive sign that he's nearing a return to the court in the coming days. This will all ultimately hinge on how he feels physically after going through a team-oriented practice.
In 19 games played this season, Griffin is averaging a team-best 23.6 points on 42.5 percent shooting from the field and 35.3 percent from beyond the arc along with 7.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per contest. The Clippers are holding a 6-8 record in the 14 games that he has missed due to the injury.
