Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis is dealing with a left calf strain. The big man has been listed as questionable ahead of recent matchups despite ultimately being ruled out before tip-off. Ahead of Sunday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, however, AD is listed as doubtful, per the NBA injury report.

Davis, 32, has been limited to five games played so far in the 2025-26 NBA season. He's averaging 20.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks per outing. The Mavericks certainly miss his presence on the floor. Overall, Dallas holds a lackluster 3-10 record.

If AD doesn't return from injury soon, one has to wonder if the Mavericks will be able to bounce back this season. If not, it could turn into a lost campaign. Davis trade rumors are also beginning to swirl, so he's someone who could be moved ahead of the deadline in February.

Mavericks' injury report vs. Trail Blazers

The Mavs have six total players listed on Sunday's injury report.

  • Anthony Davis (left calf strain): Doubtful
  • Cooper Flagg (right thumb sprain): Available
  • PJ Washington (left shoulder strain): Probable
  • Kyrie Irving (left knee surgery): Out
  • Dante Exum (right knee injury management): Out
  • Ryan Nembhard (left knee sprain): Out

Washington did not play in Friday's 133-127 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, but it seems as if he could return on Sunday given his probable status. Flagg remains on the injury report, but he is already listed as available. Meanwhile, Nembhard is a new addition to the injury report with a left knee sprain, while Irving and Exum remain out.

As for Davis, the chances of him being available are slim given his doubtful injury status.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
