Injuries keep piling up for the Dallas Mavericks. A sprained ankle has kept Luka Doncic out for the last five games and now, it appears that star big man Kristaps Porzingis will not play in the Mavs' next game against the Charlotte Hornets due to injury management, per ESPN's Tim MacMahon.
Mavs C/PF Kristaps Porzingis will not play Saturday night in Charlotte, according to the NBA's injury report. He's out due to injury management on the second night of a back-to-back.

Porzingis has already missed 12 games this season due to various injuries and on the second game of a back-to-back, the 7-foot-3 power forward will be out of the Dallas lineup.
In addition to not having Doncic and Porzingis, in the lineup the Mavericks will also be without starting center Dwight Powell who has been ruled out for the season after suffering an Achilles injury in January.

The Latvian big man has been tasked to carry the load for Dallas with Doncic out and the fourth-year pro has done well in doing so. In his last four games, Porzingis has surpassed 30 points three times while also grabbing 12 or more rebounds three times in that span.
Doncic is unlikely to play against the Hornets as well so if the Mavericks want to snap their two-game losing streak, they'll need to lean on players like Tim Hardaway Jr., Seth Curry, Willie Cauley-Stein and Dorian Finney-Smith to lead the team.
Regardless, the Mavericks are in good shape to return for the playoffs for the first time in the last three seasons as they are 31-21 on the year and the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
