Just in case you haven't noticed, Luka Doncic is pretty good at this basketball thing. He led the Dallas Mavericks to their third straight win on Wednesday night after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers, 120-112 on the road.
Doncic was nothing but masterful once again, finishing with a near triple-double of 35 points, nine rebounds, and 13 assists, as the Mavericks improved to 48-29 for the no. 4 spot in the Western Conference.
The 23-year-old Mavericks star was extra motivated against the Cavaliers, as a large contingent from Slovenia traveled miles to watch him in action. Safe to say, they got their money's worth, and Doncic, in a report by ESPN, admitted he didn't want to disappoint his countrymen.

Doncic entered the NBA as a shy teenager, but through the years, he's learned to be more self-aware of his responsibilities as one of the faces of the league. Mavericks coach Jason Kidd, who was also a superstar in his own right, could definitely attest to that.
“We talked about there being a large Slovenian contingent in Cleveland on the plane. He wanted to put on a good show and came to work. He comes to work every night.”
Doncic has been putting up monster numbers in their last 10 games, helping the Mavericks make a strong push ahead of the NBA Playoffs. Maybe team owner Mark Cuban should pay for the entire population of Slovenia to watch all of their remaining games.
