The Dallas Mavericks might miss the services of Luka Doncic and Dennis Smith Jr. when they go up against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.

According to Dwain Price of Mavs.com, Luka Doncic is listed as probable due to a toenail injury. Meanwhile, Dennis Smith Jr. is questionable for the Mavs due to a sprained right wrist.

Doncic suffered the injury in their win over the Pelicans on Wednesday. He was just a rebound shy of a triple-double in the game, tallying 21 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in 31 minutes.

Smith Jr., meanwhile, has missed a total of 11 games because of the injury which he originally suffered on Nov. 19 against the Memphis Grizzlies. Despite the injury, Smith Jr. suited up several times for the Mavericks before aggravating it more.

Earlier, Smith Jr. revealed that he's making “great progress” on his injured wrist. He's looking to return to action as soon as possible, admitting that he's tired of being sidelined on the bench, per Eddie Sefko of Sports Day.

“I'll continue my rehab and workouts and I'm looking forward to being back out there as soon as possible. I'm tired of sitting out.”

Smith Jr., who's in his second year in the league, is averaging 13.0 points, 3.0 boards, 4.0 dimes and 1.3 steals per game. After the Pelicans on Friday, the Mavs will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
