Nets fans had a blast on Monday. They saw their team destroy the Mavs by a final score of 127-88 and got to see Dirk Nowitzki, one of the greatest players in NBA history, hit a shot from the field for possibly the last time. Not a bad night if you were at the game.

Nowitzki finished with four points. The future Hall of Famer shot just 2-of-13 from the field and was 0-of-7 beyond the arc. It's kind of sad that the last we may see of Dirk is playing out in this fashion, but it doesn't take away from how dominant a player he was during his prime. Fans just want to show their appreciation for him.

Nowitzki signed a one-year deal with the Mavs last summer. We'll see if he'll come back next season and play with Kristaps Porzingis for at least one year.
