The Detroit Pistons are believed to want to trade center Andre Drummond before the February trade deadline, but they aren't receiving any offers they like.

Part of the reason is that Drummond can become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends if he declines his 2020-21 player option, so teams aren't willing to give up draft capital and assets to acquire him since they can sign him as a free agent once June 30 hits.

Via Bobby Marks of ESPN:

Even though Andre Drummond is a double-double presence each night, there isn't strong interest in him as an impending free agent. Drummond certainly could be traded, but is it worth moving him for an expiring contract and a second-round pick?

Drummond has appeared in 44 games for the Pistons this season. He's averaging 17.3 points, 15.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 52.8 percent from the field and 59.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pistons are only 17-31 on the season. They are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings and have yet to win three games in a row. Blake Griffin was a shell of himself after undergoing left knee surgery this past summer before undergoing another surgery this season, which will keep him out indefinitely.

Former MVP Derrick Rose has been the Pistons’ best player this season. He’s garnering trade interest from the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers.

The Pistons are set for a showdown with the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night at Barclays Center.
