The Detroit Pistons are off to a strong start to the 2017-18 NBA season winning seven out of their first seven games, which is the best mark through that stretch since in nine years.

However, there have continued to be trade rumors that have hovered around the team concerning Reggie Jackson possibly being shopped for Phoenix Suns veteran point guard Eric Bledsoe. This is something that former All-Star big man Andre Drummond experienced over the offseason and recently admitted to Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press.

After being the subject of trade rumors last season, Pistons center Andre Drummond admitted that they bothered him.

The 24-year-old had been the subject of trade rumors before the NBA trade deadline last season along with prior to the 2017 NBA Draft as he was being offered for an additional top-10 selection but nothing truly came about.

Drummond has been a source of consistent production throughout his career holding career averages of a double-double at 13.3 points and 12.9 rebounds. Although his progression as a player has plateaued a bit, he has proven to be a productive player on both ends of the floor.

Ultimately, his status in Detroit may ultimately hinge on how things unfold over the course of this season prior to the trade deadline. Drummond is currently in the second-year of his five-year, $127.1 million deal that includes a $28.7 million player option for the 2020-21 campaign.
