The NBA was set abuzz when it was announced that Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans wanted a trade.
Rumors then quickly began to spread that Davis wasn't the only big man who wanted a change of scenery, and the Detroit Pistons Blake Griffin was looking for a new home as well.
Griffin shut down those rumors on Tuesday.
James Edwards, the Pistons beat writer for The Athletic, broke the news:
In regards to the rumor that Blake Griffin said he wanted out of Detroit, âI heard that buzzing. Sometimes you should consider the source with some of that stuff.â Said he, his agent nor his people have asked to be traded.

It doesn't really make sense for Griffin to demand a trade right now. It's true that the Pistons are a subpar team, as they are only the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference. They frequently look overwhelmed by the elite teams in the NBA, and it's clear they are not in the top tier just yet.
However, they have a few solid pieces to build around that should launch them into playoff contention with a few more smart additions. Andre Drummond is a top 10 center in the league, and Reggie Jackson shows flashes of being a great point guard.
Griffin himself has been outstanding. He is averaging 26.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting 48 percent from the field. It's obvious that he is the best player on the team.
By the way he is speaking, it might be that way for a while.
