Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin got another quarter off given the way the Pistons were hammering the New York Knicks in the fourth quarter.
Griffin, per ESPN, appreciates the rests he's been getting recently in the fourth quarter of games because of how the Pistons have been performing throughout their mini winning streak.
“Beyond the wins, we're playing with the right spirit and playing basketball the right way,” Griffin said. “The basketball gods reward you when you play the right way, and being able to take a fourth quarter off has been really nice — especially at this time of the season.”

Detroit almost let this one slip away with New York, which has now lost 15 games in a row, surging to close the gap midway through the quarter. But the Pistons recovered well – well enough for them to sit out their All-Star Blake Griffin in the entire fourth quarter.
In 29 minutes, Griffin finished the game with 26 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three three-pointers while shooting 6-of-13 from the field, and making 12 of his 15 attempts at the charity stripe.
Andre Drummond led the way for the Pistons with 29 points and 20 rebounds to give the Knicks its 28th loss in 30 games.
Consistency has been hard to come by for Detroit over the course of the season, as they are just 25-29 record-wise. But as mentioned, the Pistons are riding a three-game winning streak, including a gigantic win over one of the best teams in the West, the Denver Nuggets.
They are currently a half-game behind the Miami Heat, which is in the 8th seed in the East standings.
