The Detroit Pistons are 2-0 since the All-Star break and power forward Blake Griffin says the camaraderie on the team is something that is both very special and rare.

Griffin, who was on a bunch of dysfunctional and selfish teams, allegedly, with the L.A. Clippers, says win or lose, guys on the Pistons want each other to do well.

The Pistons are trying to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016. These first two wins out of the All-Star break are huge.

After defeating the Miami Heat on Saturday, a team which is right under them in the Eastern Conference standings, Detroit is now 28-30 on the season, good for seventh place in the East.

Blake Griffin finished with 20 points, four rebounds and six assists against the Heat in 33 minutes. The star forward is motivated to prove the critics wrong who said the Pistons wouldn't be competitive this season. Along with center Andre Drummond and point guard Reggie Jackson, Griffin has to play at a high-level every night for Detroit to win and make the postseason.

As long as teammates are rooting for each other and putting themselves in positions to help someone else, NBA teams are usually successful. It's the team who have players with their own agendas that don't do well.
